RWR says he was a former member of the Lodge who emigrated to New Zealand in [1923]. There had been a great financial slump there, with the result that he and his family had fallen on very hard times. He hopes that the Lodge might be able to assist. After requesting further information, which is duly provided, the Lodge reply that they are unable to help as the Lodge itself is in debt due to the many calls that have been made upon its funds recently. |
