2. From the North Wales Weekly News headlined 'Black-out in Llandudno' reporting on the electricity power cut which affected all properties between Gloddaeth Avenue and the Great Orme. The Odeon cinema switched to emergency lighting but the film show was interrupted for about one and a half hours. Down in the Winter Gardens Ballroom there was "dancing in the dark".
