| Ddisgrifiad / Description | Caroline Williams 48 years old of 19 Scotland Road, Llanrwst was found guilty of stabbing her husband William Williams in the neck with a carving knife of Dec 25th 1937. The hearing took place at Llanrwst County School main hall and lasted for nearly 7 hours. The case was tried at Ruthin Assizes in Feb 1938 where she was found guility and sentenced to death. There was an appeal and she was reprieved in March 1938. The images show the counsel in Ruthin in the church grounds and crowds on the steps of the assizes. [7 images]
