Ddisgrifiad / Description | The rock has around it an enclosure of large stones and an outer ring which Norman Tucker (local historian) believes may have been the enclosure of the original Llan. A gap in the outer ring can be seen in the middle distance. This has been referred to as a gateway as goods were landed here in the 8th and 9th centuries and the remains of one of the jetties can be seen in the foreground. The Groes may be of religious significance or it may be the east bank landfall of the ferry from Cymryd Point.
