Teitl / TitleThe first Chapel in Glan Conwy
Ddisgrifiad / DescriptionThis was established in Glan Conwy around the year 1784-1785, due to the influence of John Wesley who preached at the farm at Plas Bach about a mile away. It gained notoriety as the most important and radical of Baptist Churches and was the Mother Church of many in the area. For many years an Assenting Academy was held in its school room and it was here that John Williams received the rudiments of education. In the cemetery is a statue to Anne Roberts who was killed by her husband for her Baptist faith in 1800.
