Teitl / TitleBwlch Mawr Caravan Site, near Conwy
Ddisgrifiad / DescriptionThe site overlooks the River Conwy. In 1966 planning permission was sought to establish a site but it was refused and the father of the owner at this time ploughed thousands of pounds into the venture, to no avail. He continued his fight with the Council until early 1971 when he passed away. A short time after, the Council informed his family that permission had now been given for the proposed site. His son, and his widow started to put the plans into action in late 1971.

In 1986 further permission was granted for the establishment of a camp pub called 'The Swallow's Nest' but the licence only covered residents and their guests who had to be registered at Reception.

In 1988 the site had plots for 294 tourers and there were also plots for tents. The next door site, which borders Bwlch Mawr opened an indoor swimming pool which was open to residents of Bwlch Mawr.
