Ddisgrifiad / Description | At 3 p.m. detachments of the 4th and 6th/7th Battalions, Cadets and Representatives of the Comrades Association took up positions as 'Keepers of the Ground'. Visiting Mayors, Officials and Guests walked in procession to their appointed places near the Dais. Then the Mayor of Conwy, Councillor A. B. Robertson and General Sir Hugh Stockwell, Colonel of the Regiment, inspected the parade and returned to the dais where the Mayor in a short address granted the Freedom of the Borough. Flags and bunting adorned the crowded streets as the Officers of the Regiment and over three hundred of their guests went to the Castle Hotel for an 'At Home' Reception. The soldiers marched along the Bangor Road, High Street, Castle Street and on to Llandudno Junction where they stopped at the Hotpoint Factory for tea.
