His opponents on a promotions tour for Brewers, John Smiths, were left to right: David Owen of the Tudno Castle Hotel (formerly the North Western Hotel, Llandudno); Gareth Lloyd of the White Lion, Llanelian; Keith Bradley of the Alexandra Hotel, Llandudno and Jeff Duckenfield of Revivals, Llandudno. David Owen won the snooker cue and a case worth £50 for the best performance, finishing with a score of 51. Keith Bradley started well with a break of nine, but, after that it was all downhill. A draw at the start of the evening raised £300 for the Intensive Care Unit at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd, Bodelwyddan.
