Ddisgrifiad / Description | This hotel was oringally the Adelphi. It was the scene of Llandudno's worst hotel fire on the 9 October 1920. It has the distinction of having been the home of Queen Elizabeth of Roumania for five weeks in 1890, a visit which Llandudno will never be allowed to forget. Her parting words, describing Wales as a beautiful haven of peace, have been translated into Welsh for the town's official motto of 'Hardd, Hafan, Hedd'.
