Ddisgrifiad / Description | On Wednesday, 27 April 1899 at 3.10 p.m. the Royal Train was timed to reach Llandudno Station. In the square outside the station, a company of Police and a detachment of the Denbigh Yeomanry Hussars kept the immense crowd from blocking the station gates. When the Royal couple disembarked, they were presented to Mr. T. T. Marks, Chairman of the Reception Committee and Mr. John Owen, Chairman of the District Council. They were seated in an open landau and their route was along Vaughan Street and the Promenade to the Pier Pavilion where there was a concert which lasted a little over an hour. They returned to their carriage and returned to the station through North and South Parade and Mostyn Street. In the photograph the Royal Procession has just passed Sumners, Edward's Bread and, on the corner, Burton & Son, Chemists.
