JR was the Agent of the Old Mine Company on the Orme. He died in 1836, aged 53. The Old Mine was quite productive. In 1845 it produced 200,000 [tons] of ore. Llandudno produced £250,000 of copper ore between 1835-1848. The Old Mine was the first to install an engine.
