| Ddisgrifiad / Description | The Pier Pavilion was opened in 1886. Since that time it has been associated with variety. Numerous stars including Petula Clark, Arthur Askey, The Beverley Sisters and Cyril Fletcher appeared there. It was also a popular centre for political rallies with speakers like Lloyd George, Winston Churchill and Edward Heath.
[It was destroyed by arson in the 1990s all that is left now (2014) is a derelict site]
