Ddisgrifiad / DescriptionThe Hotel was built by Thomas Jones and his wife who opened it as the Tudno Villa Lodging House. Early in 1861 Thomas Jones received a letter asking for rooms for twelve for the Easter holiday and, in due course, they all turned up: Dean Liddell of Christ Church, Oxford, his wife, five children, a footman, a ladies' maid, a nurse, a Swiss nursery maid and a 28 year old Governess, Mary Prickett. Alice at this time was aged eight and soon to be the heroine of Lewis Carroll's 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland'.
