Ddisgrifiad / Description | The Hotel was named after the old Railway Company. Its most notorious guest was Igor Laptev, First Secretary at the Russian Embassy in London, who booked in with thirty Embassy staff in 1969 and with forty-two staff a year later. A redecorating programme in 1987 cost £80,000. Later, flooding caused over £12,000 worth of damage. [Now, in 2014, the hotel is semi-derelict, having been empty for some years]
