| Ddisgrifiad / Description | Postcard to commemorate the opening of the Winter Gardens in 1934. It was built by two Rochdale brothers, James and Zachry Brierley. The brothers came to Llandudno in 1920 as motor-coach operators. The Astra Theatre had 1,650 seats. The complex was built on the site of The Vineyard, the walled market garden noted for its fruit and cost £70,000 to build.
