Ddisgrifiad / Description | The road on which the man and woman are walking is Ty Gwyn Road and they look down on Tan Yr Ogof and King William Terraces. The building at right angles was used in connection with the copper mining industry. At the near end of the winding road is the second Welsh Baptist Chapel on the site occupied by the Tabernacl. The small white-washed house near the sea in line with the Chapel was known as Tan yr [Erw] and the buildings beyond are the farm known as Pwll y Gwichiaid, the home of Peter Jones. Here, the first Sunday Schools were held by Hugh Hughes, the artist and the Rev. Hugh Jones, later known as Hugh Jones, Ruthin.
