Ddisgrifiad / Description | The Summit Cafe was built as a nine bedroom hotel with an adjoining eighteen hole golf course in 1909. It was requisitioned for use as an R.A.F. Radar Station in 1941 and was bought in 1952 by two men, one being Randolph Turpin, who, the previous year, beat Sugar Ray Robinson to become Britain's first Middleweight Boxing Champion for sixty years. Turpin was the resident licencee of the hotel until 1961 when he sold out to Llandudno Urban District Council.
