Ddisgrifiad / Description | In the garden of Gogarth Abbey Hotel are the remains of the Palace of the Bishops of Bangor, c. 1300. The land was given to Bishop Anian around 1300. It was burnt by Glyndwr in 1402. Leland stated that in 1536-1539 it was a ruin. Erosion has meant that much of the building has collapsed into the sea to the south and west. Only the north and east fragments remain. It was sold by the church in 1891.
