Ddisgrifiad / Description | The Chapel stood next to the Library and was erected in 1862. It was demolished in 1967 when Mostyn Estates refused to renew the lease, stating that the high street was no place for chapels. A tree planted in the grounds in 1877 to commemorate the chapel's first wedding survived on the post 1967 pavement until 1997, when it fell victim to Dutch Elm Disease. The rubble from the demolished Zion Chapel was used to make road foundations for a new Council housing estate beside the Conwy Road. |
