| Ddisgrifiad / Description | In this basin, sections of the tunnel will be constructed. There are two schools of thought about what to do with the basin after the tunnel is finished. One suggests that it should just be filled in, the other suggests that after all of the expense, it should be filled with water and turned into a marina. But this plan has come up against local opposition, especially from local traders who argue that a marina would have its own shops, pubs, etc., and although these would create jobs for Conwy and the district and bring in plenty of money for the area, it would affect the local business and the wealth brought in would not be used in the local shops.
