Ddisgrifiad / Description | In 1860 work began on the construction of a railway from Conwy to Llanrwst and later in 1868 it was extended to Betws Y Coed. There were two platforms, one with a large wooden shelter and the other with a block of two storey buildings housing a restaurant and a W. H. Smith and Son, Bookstall. It was built by Owen Gethin Jones (1816-1883) and typically the windows and doors were outlined in yellow brick while the rest of the building was made of local stone.
