Ddisgrifiad / Description | In the mid 18th century, Gwmanog was the home of Jane Thomas who in 1780 allowed her home to used as a meeting place for local Independent congregations. Jane Thomas was instrumental in founding Trefriw's Congregational Church. She died in 1828. Gwmanog Farm is a typical Welsh farmstead and it was visited by Peter Williams. Many of the first Dissenting Chapels were founded by women who believed in the New Revival of Religion.
