Teitl / TitleSt. Mary's Church, Betws Road, Llanrwst
Ddisgrifiad / DescriptionDesigned by Kennedy and built between 1841-1842 for English residents and visitors. The tower was eighty feet in height and it was pulled down in the middle of March 1984. The Church originally became redundant because of the decline in church going and the town's Parish Church of St. Grwst was found to be sufficient for the local Church in Wales congregation.

Before 1984 the building had become unsafe and a danger to children who played there. Demolition of part of it started about 1976 by Llanrwst Parochial Church Council and then a year or two later Aberconwy Borough Council took over the building with the intention of making it a 'Preserved Ruin' using community scheme workers. However, the structure was found to be too unsafe and demolition was carried out. The work was speeded up because of the cuts in council spending. A community work team cleared the site but left a few feet of the walls as a relic of the old church and some benches were placed at the spot.
