| Ddisgrifiad / Description | The photograph shows the size of the boulders left behind after the dam burst on 2 November 1925. Two dams in all burst with a loss of the old mining village of Porthllwyd and sixteen people. The death toll would have been higher but for the fact that a travelling cinema was in Dolgarrog that night and most inhabitants were congregated in a building beyond the reach of the torrent.
