| Ddisgrifiad / Description | The Roman Road ran from Varae/Vains Roman Fort near or in St. Asaph to Caerhun Kanovium, a distance of sixteen miles. The road is straight from St. Asaph to Betws yn Rhos but twists from there to Graig Eglwysbach to negotiate the hills: from Graig it dropped to Tal y Cafn where it forded the river to Canovium and then joined the road, either Sarn Helen to Carmarthen or the road to Segontium over the mountains.
