Teitl / TitleA55 Expressway at Penmaenmawr
Ddisgrifiad / DescriptionThe photograph shows a view of the construction work being carried out on Penmaenmawr Beach. The tunnel forms part of the A55 North Wales Coast Road between Glan Conwy and Conwy Morfa; a total length of about six kilometres. From a junction at Glan Conwy the route connects with a link road to Llandudno Junction before passing under the causeway which carries the Chester to Holyhead Railway and the existing A55. West of the estuary the route passes along the south edge of the Conwy Golf Links to another junction at Conwy Morfa and continues to join the Penmaenmawr/Dwgyfylchi section of the A55 which was under construction in 1988, west of Sam Parry's Bridge.
