| Ddisgrifiad / Description | Y Parch. John Evans of Eglwysbach was a Wesleyan Minister. He was educated at local national schools and worked on his father's farm. He began to preach at about age 17 and entered the Ministry in 1860. His preaching was such that within a few months every chapel he went to was overflowing, often with even more people outside. He died in Liverpool on a preaching tour on 23 October 1897.
