Photographs of the construction of the new bridge in the 1950s, have contemporary labels on the dorse, assumed to be by the photographer. He provides an entertaining and informed monologue on the progress of construction works; later photographs in the series have been catalogued by archive staff and are solely descriptive. By the end of the series and the completion and opening of the new bridge, the photographer resumes his monologue. |
