Ddisgrifiad / Description | Some of the cottages were demolished in the 1920s to make way for the Penmaenhead viaduct. A closer look at Penmaenhead reveals a set of steps cut into the side of the rock. These were reputedly to allow the quarrymen to safely ascend and descend the cliff between their cottages and the Penmaen Quarry [Valentines postcard incorrectly captioned "Penrhyn Bay and Little Orme, Rhos-on-Sea"] [2 copies, B & W] |
