Robert James of St. Asaph, Flintshire in conjunction with Richard James of Llanrwst, Denbighshire contracted with John Lloyd Jones of Deganwy, Llanrhos, Caernarvonshire to purchase the Deganwy Estate part of which is held under renewable lease from the Corporation at an annual rent of £3 also a fee farm rent of £1 12s and another part which is supposed to be comprised in a renewable lease by the Corporation to Colonel Peers Williams at an annual rent of £1 1s. This latter has been in the possession of John Lloyd Jones for 58 years without any payment of rent or any acknowledgement to Col. Williams or the Corporation. The Corporation resolved that the above be entertained and the reversionary interest of the Corporation in or to herditaments and premises comprised in the lease including the fee farm rents be sold and conveyed to Mr. Sisson for the sum of £500. Also the lease to Col. Peers Williams be reduced to 14s per annum.
Robert Sissons and Richard James also request releasing the Deganwy Estate recently sold to them by John Lloyd Jones from the farm rents of £1 6s 6d and £2 which is approved. |
